Manchester United Tottenham match preview
Tottanham is playing Mancester United at Old Trafford today on 17:30 CET. It's place where Spurs rarely take points and it's gong to be very though game for sure, but as Dejan Kulusevski said in his interview to Hayters TV "life is hard". Tottenham is coming to this game after 3 wins against Coventry, Brentford and Qarabag, while Manchester United is coming after win vs Barnsley and goalless draw vs Crystal Palace and 1:1 against Twente. Home side is not in some great form, but they always get turn on and show best performance against Spurs. Tottenham have one big problem and that is fact that Son Heung-min is doubt for this game. Last information from Spurs camp is he felt good on yesterday training and that he will travel to Old Trafford with the squad. This is only player from Spurs forward line who constantly shows up with goals and assists against top level opponents. If he doesn't play that would be devastating blow for Spurs. Manchester United don't have such problems. They have few injured players, but they are not very important for them! If I am Ange I wouldn't force Son to play if he's not fully fit to avoid risk of making his injury worse. It's game we'll probably lose with or without him so there is not real point in torturing Korean international if he is not 100% fit. I would skip Werner after that atrocious performance against Coventry. Ange told yesterday he'll see and mentioned Dejan Kulusevski can play there, but I am not big fan of this solution because that would weaken our midfield! Our best midfield is Bentancur, Kulusevski, Maddison and I wouldn't change that! There is Mikey Moore whose position is left wing and at some point we should see him starting game and evaluate if he is already ready and good enough for top level football or not! He can hardly be worse than Timo Werner! Other possible solution is to replace Maddison with Bergvall and give that boy chance to play which he deserves and send Maddison on LW. That would be interesting setup too. Knowing Ange I think he'll send Johnson, Solanke and Kulusevski in attack and put Sarr or Bissouma in midfield. Manchester United is very serious opponent with very serious front line with pace and I am scared our high back line will be in big danger very often at Old Trafford. Interesting fact is that Spurs won only one top 10 team since December of last year and that was Aston Villa whose players didn't show up in that game because they saved themselves for Europa League game which came in few days and on top of that got red card in second half. A lot of fans think Johnson, Solanke, Werner, Richarlison and other attackers a part from Son can only score and make regular assists against bottom 10 teams while against top 10 they can't do anything. It's on them to prove that opinion is wrong! My level of confidence we can avoid loss in this game if Son is fully fit and plays is around 50%, while if he isn't is only 15%. Last time we played 2:2 there, but they missed very big chance near the end. I doubt Son will be fully fit and ready and because of that I expect 3:1 loss at Old Trafford. Let's hope I am wrong! Don't miss this interesting game!
